9 - Ps 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. & Be careful for nothing

This is not a sermon from me to you. This is a personal message from God to you. Read it in your own Bible.

Your mind is not a psychological toy for some one to manipulate or play tricks with. Your mind is the heart of your soul that God anchors His word in. Jesus said in John 6:63, "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

You need a mind to match your soul That is a mind that readily receives the word. When you read your Bible you should say three things. 1. Do I believe this. 2. Yes. 3. This cannot fail. Then get serious with God and study out the details. The concordance on your computer is better than any computer game invented. It will help you gather the details. How do I know you have a computer? Because you are reading this email.

Be careful for nothing
And the peace of God--shall keep your hearts and minds

Phil 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

God wants to give you peace in the beginning of your battle. Its a feeling like you have already won, so you fight the good fight of faith with ease. The word cannot fail, so the outcome is certain. You have learned to trust in the Lord with all your heart and not lean on your own understanding.

Emgrave this into your mind. The word cannot fail so don't act like it can. Be bold within yourself when you are alone and fighting your mental battles.Project this boldness into the things you do. Do not act like you are ashamed of the Gospel of Christ. You can do all things through Christ. Put on the whole armor and STAND.

GOD MADE YOU TO BE A STAND ALONE.

8 - al and jean To the battle weary soldiers of the cross.

The most important thing in life is hope. You can’t get anywhere without it.

Psalms 42:11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Why art thou cast down?

This is my question. Quite often I find myself struggling with my emotions. I am disappointed with a setback. I am stopped in my tracks. My question is: “Why is this happening to me?” The Bible answer for me is hope. This takes me off the roller coaster and puts my feet on the ground.

Jesus said, John 14:27.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you.---Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Notice: Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Jesus taught us ways for doing this.

The first thing is what not to do. Don't justify your feelings. That's the worst thing you can do. Justifying yourself weakens you.

You need to arrest your feelings. Do it with a scripture from your memory bank. Jeremiah said "This I recall to mind therefore have I hope." You need a recall data base of scripture.

God has it in mind to anchor our soul in a hope that is both sure and stedfast. Hope makes us not ashamed of our convictions. In fact, hope strengthens our convictions.

7 - There are no wages for faith.

The purpose of the Apostolic Cutting Edge. (ACE)

The purpose of the Apostolic Cutting Edge is to equip you with Bible thoughts you can activate quickly. Life happens quick on the cutting edge. An opportunity to win a soul appears then disappears. If you are not ready for it you lose. When you have learned to recognize it ahead of time, you are prepared. In fact you live in expectation.

The word of God is quick if you are ready for it. You need a mind to match your soul. A mind to match your body leaves you lacking. A mind to match your soul gives you the unlimited resources of God.

The Law of the Book
by al friend

The Law of the Book requires movement and follow through. The knowledge on its pages is nothing more than paper and ink. A mind must lay hold on it and take it beyond knowledge into wisdom. Then it becomes a blueprint with power from which to build your life.

God's grace is the favor of God on His terms.

God's grace is not a reward for works on our terms. Acts 2:38 is GRACE. The problem is grace is misunderstood by many. We obey Acts 2:38 by faith that it might be by grace. We are not receiving wages for our faith but by the grace of God we have our sins remitted. That is not by works lest any man should boast. It is the GIFT of God.

If we will, by faith, obey Acts 2:38, God will, by His Grace, remit our sins. Our activities of faith activate the grace of God.

Our work of faith is not to receive wages. There are no wages for faith. Faith simply opens a door for God to do as He sees fit.

God will, by His grace, reward diligent faith with a gift. There are wages for sin. The wages of sin is death but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Understand this. We are not receiving wages for our faith. We are receiving a gift from God. Jesus paid the price for sin. That is finished. Now by the grace of God we have our sins remitted as a gift. This will cause a lot of people to praise Jesus forever, and I do mean forever.

We have not seen Him yet we love Him. This truth will never get old in heaven. Think about that. Now think about it again. Will you praise Jesus forever? Then start now!

There are no wages for faith.
Romans 4:16. Therefore it is by faith that it might be by grace.

You can't make it idiot proof.

A radio preacher said: "Let's turn to the book of idiotic James."

James said faith without works is dead. The radio preacher believed we have no works to do, it is all by faith.

You can't even make the Bible idiot proof. They just turn up in the most unexpected places.

Jesus did what He came to do. This is what He came to do.

Luke 24:46 47. And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Now I must do what He did it for. I must repent and be baptized in Jesus name.

Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. .

39. For the promise (the gift) is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

The cutting edge will put new life into any Apostolic believer expecting God to love a soul through them. We had three baptized in Jesus Name Wednesday.

God comes into our world through a man. This is the area I have always enjoyed. Seeing a new person come into the church. That is refreshing.

Pass the word around. Inspire others to read the Apostolic Cutting Edge.

6 - Books

Greetings My Friend from The Apostolic Cutting Edge,

I want to thank all of the Book Sellers listed below for their efforts to spread the news. All of my books are about practical Christianity. Practical Christianity starts with Luke 24:46-47 and Acts 2:38. The peak for man came when Jesus revealed why He suffered and died in Luke 24:46-47. It was so that repentance and remission of sins could be preached in His Name. He then ascended to heaven being the first man to ascend. Thus He opened a door for men to enter through. Jesus is the way all the way.

The General Conference of The United Pentecostal Church will be in Columbus, Ohio September 27-October 1, 2006. Come by the Pentecostal Publishing House Book Display. I will see you there in the section of my book display.

Until then,

Al Friend
The Apostolic Cutting Edge

PS. Any and all of these books will increase your skills for living in the word on the cutting edge of life. They are for the common people who will hear Him gladly.

5 - On The Apostolic Cutting Edge God puts us on the stretch.

A letter to those in my Fathers Business.

God wants to be understood and then believed.

David understood God.

Take a look at what David saw.
The David of the 23rd Psalm, after saving a sheep from a lion and another one from a bear, understood God. He said, The Lord is my shepherd. Do you see that David understood it was God taking care of him?

Could you preach a sermon, The Lord is my shepherd. Is He yours?

You cannot believe what you do not understand. First you must read the Bible for understanding. Once you get the picture you must believe it. The goal is to read for understanding so you can have faith in God. That is one goal not two.

To read for understanding only is to understand the Law knowing you are breaking it. 90 mph is too fast. You had better slow down. That light you are going through is red so look in your rear view mirror to see if a policeman saw you. Natural laws and spiritual laws are made to keep. A person who is serious with God will study His word to become a better person. There is no end to it.

The rule is: Study to show yourself approved unto God.

2 Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

To be approved unto God is the highest honor a person can get. It is a rewarding, rich, exciting form of existence that only a believer can have.

Living on The Apostolic Cutting, where God is continually pouring out His Spirit, requires a keen awareness of His presence. Be aware that God is always there urging you. Being out ahead of the pack is an awesome responsibility. We need to walk worthy of our calling.

Until the next time,

Peace be with you !

4 - The Bible, when used right, is practical. It is not a theory.

Greetings in Jesus Name,

The Bible, when used right, is practical. It is not a theory.

Psalms 19:7 -- the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Isaiah 35:8 -- the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

My ministry has changed from pastoring to reaching a broader group. There is inside me a strong desire to inspire Apostolic people to live more of their potential. Jesus lived on the leading edge of turning the world to Himself. It was new and He took the blunt of that resistance. His method was to stand up and cry out. The Pharisees didn't like that. He talked with a Galilean accent. He didn't sound smart enough for them.

The Law of the Book
by al friend

The Law of the Book requires movement and follow through. The knowledge on its pages is nothing more than paper and ink. A mind must lay hold on it and take it beyond knowledge into wisdom. Then it becomes a blueprint with power from which to build your life. That is the Law of a Book.

I am making a proclamation! The Book of Luke and the Book of Acts are backed and packed with the integrity of God. Luke and God were partners. The Book of Luke and the Book of Acts seamlessly run together. They have an inspirational effect on the believer. I am a strong believer!

When Luke surrendered his life to the will of God he positioned himself for a journey. You need to position yourself next to Luke's witness in the Bible and make the same journey. If you will walk toward Jesus, in the plan He set out for you in Luke 24:46-47, He will be there waiting to greet you. I'll see you there.

Take Care! This is powerful information.
Three things to consider.

1. We don't treat truth as an idle tale.

Luke 24:11 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.

You can have the scripture-- Casting all your cares-- in your mind and still not cast them on Him. That is treating truth as an idle tale. The truth is He has risen.

2. We see ourselves in James mirror.

James 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

You can see your weakness in the scripture and not do anything to improve it.Then you become a hearer only and not a doer, deceiving yourself. To deceive yourself is as bad as it gets.

3. We watch ourselves change by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

It is the practical use of the Bible that rewards us with these benefits. Take advantage of God's purpose for your life.. Seek the Lord for practical wisdom. Become the best you possible. This is a must. We are His witnesses on The Apostolic Cutting Edge and performance is the thing that counts
